I added a bit of CMTL today in the 13.40s also... now up to about 75% position... still have more cash on hand than I typically do... have been turning my eyeballs into spirals running stock screens and digging through financials and also checking TA at StockCharts.... this is getting tough...
Here's some tickers I'm currently DD'ing: SOHO, AHT/F, TOO/A, TOO/B, NNN/D, PBCT.... 5 preferreds there, but only want to add one preferred to an IRA that doesn't get any cash infusions and in which I own LTS/A for example... more likely to add SOHO or PBCT and maybe one preferred... anyone have any experience/thoughts on these (I think we've already covered SOHO and it -- for the moment -- is at the top of my possibility list)... especially interested in info for PBCT which I'd never heard of prior to today's mega-stock screening session... (the wife's funds hit her IRAs this week, so stepping up DD efforts as we prepare to deploy her funds)...
... and thinking about selling the overweight part of O up here (70% overweight) and putting it into O/F -- it is selling above par, but pays monthly (current yield 6.3%, coupon of 6.625% cum preferred)... this would be a temporary move in hopes (terrible word to use in investing) to move it back to O down the road more cheaply... however, because it is around 26.40 and no guarantee O will give me a chance to re-enter cheaper, I'm just thinking -- trying to think outside the box as I look at O, which has doubled in share price on me, compressing that rock solid yield to about 3.5%... my bias is to do nothing... |
