I was struck by the fact that the Dems had Michael Brown's mother speak. A guy who was trying to kill a cop when he was himself killed. A guy whose death was neither murder nor negligent, but done by a cop who acted in self-defense. A guy whose death lead to looting, riots, etc. What an insult to policemen everywhere.
I lost a lot of respect for Kareem Abdul Jabbar for his remarks to Megyn Kelly following Brown's mother's remarks.

"Even Michael Brown was unarmed." [never mind that the "gentle giant" was 300 lbs and was trying tokill or seriously hurt the cop]

"I think that white society devalues and dismisses the value of black lives," Abdul-Jabbar said. "That's what Black Lives Matter is all about."

"I think that white people are starting to feel that maybe their sense of power and privilege is being challenged," he said.
