But only slightly. I would argue it is very straightforward
for any competent software engineer with a bit of experience.

Certainly I am nothing special as a software engineer but
when I worked in the SGI system software group, it was very
straightforward for me to fix the Irix SVR4 system
semaphores such that they scaled very well, to 32 cpus.
