I sometimes read the comments to NYT articles that I am interested in. Here is a comment to a piece on the Electoral College and primaries: Why are we made to choose which primary to be in. Why in the world can't vote in both? Why must we be put in a position like this time where we want so badly to vote against someone in both parties, in order to have a likable candidate in both slots come November. One more divisive policy. We have a democracy. Not we don't, we have a republic. Not we have an asterisk. A government of the people, for the people, and by THOSE people. This person is from California, home to every POV that can be found in the world.
