I have heard that he has not left, so I'm confused. But it may be that he was just too upset by everything including how he was treated by the DNC. In any event, I think he should be regarded highly for his life's work fighting the good cause. He never sold out, he could've gotten rich and didn't do that, he was put in jail in the 60s for demonstrating to integrate the University Chicago housing. In fact if he had been running against any other Democrat his civil rights credentials were so good he could've probably gotten the African-American support. No one is perfect, but from everything I can tell he has spent his life fighting the good fight and he should be applauded for that, not denigrated.
