Many (most?) would not want to see a gay couple make out in public. But for every offensive act, unless you can show a real harm that outweighs the rights of the offender, you should let it go. That is what freedom and tolerance means. And this is why tolerance should be a matter of law while the culture catches up. We no longer invite someone to a duel because he said something that offended us.
