That's really worked... like never. We're not gonna leave ISIS alone (and vice versa). Yes, it's a vicious circle. The time to stop the bombing in Libya was the day B4 we started. We did that in Syria, barely. I suppose that's a good thing, since Putrump said Russia had Assad's back.

We have a tendency to create power vacuums which get filled by exactly the kind of people we don't want to see in charge. Then we have to clean up our own mess. We need to learn to accept a little strongman violence, as long as it doesn't cross the line into genocide.

Arab Spring started with drought related food shortages. It started with that Tunisian farmer who burned himself to death. In retrospect, we shudda bombed everybody with pallets of grain. For me, the only good thing to come out of Libya was an op-ed piece which introduced me to this quote:
