Trumpbart, formerly known as Breitbart, Caught Passing Off Photo of Cleveland Championship Parade As Trump Rally

Posted on August 4, 2016 by everybodylovestrump

A Breitbart article on the massive crowd Donald Trump spoke to in Jacksonville, Florida was called out Wednesday for using an image that was actually from Cleveland’s NBA championship parade.

Breitbart was evidently fooled by a post from a Donald Trump fan on social media:

#US: look at #Trump #TrumpRally crowd in #Jacksonville #Florida! This is how #US #Democracy looks like! #Tatiana pic.twitter.com/kztcEGAGre

Cavs fans Conrad Kaczmarek first noticed the inconsistency and pointed it out on Twitter.

Pretty sure this is from the Cavs championship parade…?????? https://t.co/TNRIBgrofO

The piece by Breitbart’s Alex Swoyer has since had the image removed and the following correction appended: “UPDATE: A photograph that was incorrectly attributed on social media to the rally in Jacksonville has been removed.”
