Gregory,
Fits with observations and what people at local store have been telling me about compaq sales and sales in general. Of course that only applies to the local store. I do live in the middle of the North East corridor. What happens here is not always what happens countrywide.

Have to return this weekend for some more software for my daughter. Will be interesting to see activity. Several people have told me they are waiting for after Christmas sales to buy a new computer. Looking for a price break! Even at these price levels, there are still bargan hunters.
