Please stay on the subject, photo ID should be required for voting in the US as well, just like it is in all civilized countries to my knowledge. Taro, read about this more...you are not fully informed....when a gun permit is ok and a student id is not, you have intent to suppress...when obtaining an acceptable photo id requires base documents that minorities are less likely to have, you have intent to suppress...when offices allowed to grant acceptable photo ids are closed in minority dominated areas you have intent to suppress...it's not as simple as you'd like to make it.
