Well meathead feast on this I've put together two sub $1K systems. One based upon the Cyrix Media GX180, and the other on the AMD K6-233MHZ. The former system runs better than my Pentium133 and the later system compares favorably with anything you can buy from Intel in the low end PII range. So that is what you can get sub $1K. ================== Wait a month or two and you will find $599 MediaGX200's and $899 Pentium 233MMX's. The argument that you cannot get power under $1K is pretty dead.
