Ah China, a subject near and dear to my heart, and Bill's. Business is booming there, but somehow it still seems pretty much like a dictatorship. And a commie one at that. Still, the prospect of Windows as the official OS of the Peoples Republic is tantalizing enough to have WHGII directing WJC to forget about this democracy/human rights stuff, and just get those dang Chinese to pay for his software. I got my doubts about how successful that effort will ever be, but who knows. Anyway this Rand quote brings to mind the old '60s counterpoint, Democracy without Capitalism is like a fish without a bicycle, or something like that. Cheers, Dan.
