I've never heard Hitler and his Brown Shirts described as Leftists. That is because you haven't been plugged into wingnut media. You see, the Nazis, aka the National Socialists, had 'socialists' in their name... That is pretty much it. Ignore the fact that virtually nothing they did could be construed as leftist, much less socialist. Unless, of course, you use the wingnut definition of 'socialist' as meaning 'things I don't approve of'. And, when reality intrudes too much, they make shit up. Like the Nazis promoted abortion. Which they did, for untermensch. It you were German, it was forbidden. Like the Nazis took away guns and promoted gun control. Which they did, if you were untermensch. If you were German, gun laws were very much relaxed. Or even ignored. And so on.
