The advice you gave was very explicit. In the interim I got programs to come up.Do not know how...but was able to go into system restore and get the computer back to where it worked as I was accustomed to it doing.

I would however like to make the text larger as I am not able to read that well anymore. AND I am at the highest level I can to in TEXT SIZE.

Thank you for taking the time and effort for me. I bought this computer online with Toshiba as I wanted Windows 7 and every computer I looked at was 8..I found that change is hard after one ages and that it is best to stay with the old tried and true.. New things scare me now .

This has always been a terrific thread with those of you who contribute so helpful. I am grateful to have been a part of S.I. andto have had the opportunity to know how many giving people there are out there.
