Zeev:

I confess I didn't read the rules and apologize for assuming you broke them. There's too much other interesting and informative stuff on SI to waste my time with a lot of boring legal boilerplate. I have enough of that in my regular work!

As far as unsolicited is concerned, I am a native English speaker and somewhat of a student of this language, among others. Solicited is indeed a word, the past participle of solicit, and it may be used in an adjectival sense. Fortunately or unfortunately, the prefix un- may be added to just about any adjective to create a word which is the opposite of the original, such as wanted, unwanted.

Anyway, welcome back. Your loss would be incalculable for us. And, Zeev, be assured that you may e-mail me any time on any subject!

Jack
