Feminists Heckle Kerri Walsh Jennings for Being a Proud Mom

"I would be a mommy."

Paul Bois

Catty feminists crawled from their safe spaces this week to lay their mangy paws on all-star Olympian Kerri Walsh-Jennings for having the regressive audacity to say she was "born to have babies and play volleyball."

Becoming a household name in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Walsh-Jennings enjoyed a fruitful career replete with gold medals and prestigious honors, but amidst all that, the four-time Olympian credits her husband and children as the center focus of her life.

"Before I had more kids, I was like, this feels trivial," she said to The Post Game. "I'd been playing for so long, and I was like, I need balance. All my eggs are in this one basket and it's very self-centered and self-focused. They gave me that perspective and balance I thought I was missing. It took my game and my desire and my passion for life to the next level. I am hugely indebted to my children."

If that wasn't bad enough for the feminists, then this next one about what she'd be doing if not playing volleyball really took the cake.

I would be a mommy. I would be chasing a gold medal in some other way. I like growing and evolving my entire life. My children have taught me so much. I want to be better because I'm their mommy. I want to be their best role model and I want to represent my country well in Rio. Whatever I'm doing, I want to be great.

Now comes the moment when feminists usually scream "Heresy!" and let the green vomit spew. They despise any woman that doesn't subscribe to their coven creed, and that's why feminist Paula Dixon had to make an example out of Walsh-Jennings on social media:

Over at Salon, Mary Elizabeth Williams – the feminist that once proudly exclaimed " So What if Abortion Ends Life" – penned a whole rant on the media's wicked coverage of Olympian wives and moms, unable to get over the fact that women like Walsh-Jennings take more pride in their children than in a soulless medal. She writes:

I could do without upbeat stories on what great moms some Olympians are, like the ones that say, 'Balancing family with demanding careers is a constant struggle for many women, but you need look no further than the U.S. Olympic team for proof that you can excel at both.' Because I don’t see a whole lot out there about how new dad Michael Phelps manages to have it all.

Fortunately, Walsh-Jennings has far more important priorities in her life like "faith, family, and career" to waste so much as a brain cell on this catty bunch.
