I'm well aware of Intel's faults, I bash them regularly on my AMD board on SI. I'm just saying Intel will try to do with Xpoint what they did with X86, and briefly tried to do in mobile where Contra-Revenue was pored down the rat hole for an extended period. I wouldn't be surprised to see them try to Contra-Revenue an SSD alternative in data centers if they thought they had a prayer of a chance of cornering the market long term. It didn't work in mobile, and I'm quite sure all the data center operators are smart enough no the hand Intel the future of their livelihood again either.
