I remember when the Canadian Postal services were going to automate mail sorting. It was an uproar for the loss of those jobs. That was in the early 70s. I worked for Weyerhaeuser at the time and came back to the states. I am willing to bet the automated the system. Anything less would have been incredibly stupid.
