I think they meant to imply Version 1, not V-1 UAV..

The V-1 was an unmanned pulsejet powered glide bomb.. There were versions created later as suicide bombs, which had pilots, but not many were produced, or used.

The V-2 was a rocket, with it's shape patterned after the primary rifle bullet used by the Germans.. the 7.92mm.

The JU-287 was an interesting design, but I think they would have found, at higher speeds, that the wing-warping issue would have gotten worse and led to structural failure. Just look at how much computer power was required to stabilize our forward wing angled X-29..
