The troops all had to run over to the Yahoo thread to butt heads with a couple over there posting what I feel is trash. Hopefully we've kicked butt and sent them home. Some pretty disturbing accusations have been posted, but it's tough to separate the rumors from the truth.

FWIW, for those who don't follow that thread, here's some of what's been posted lately (mostly from someone who claims to be an IS Director at a fortune 1000 company):

No offense bow but from my industry contacts, including employees of Winstar they don't have many happy customers and very little network to speak of.

Ive also heard some horror stories about systems issues and employee turnover.

A friend of mine has a son who works for the company in a major market and the company hasn't paid him a commision in 6 months because they cant get the service running or when they do they cant calculate his commision.

In addition, my friends son has been contacted repeatedly by someone representing a class(action lawsuit) and that can only mean trouble, he is seriously considering joining.

Customer churn doesn't factor in the customers that don't get connected and never do...after having been reported to investors as sales. That seems to be what is occurring

I had an opportunity to speak to several people from wcii over the holiday ...The fact is that they ARE NOT INSTALLING in any semblance of a timely manner. And in the rare cases when they do get them in before a customer cancels they seem to be unable to track the minutes of traffic .From my conversations this week and thanks to some points made on this site I asked some more specific questions. They are having major problems.
