...and so we see the long night of a stern Canadian winter descend upon the old abandoned fortress... the smog laden clouds are driven away ... the air is brisk, our little campfire beats against the darkness... while not so far away from the vantage of the lonely watchtower tall peaks wait patiently. no need tonight to think of the stark white markers below the wall. fallen investors we used to count... now empty cots in deep bunkers.... of invaders we buried with their phoney personalities. we made it throught those storms to be here it is a night that begs for the softness of a cheap Canadian haze. Here, I found an old flask behind the stone. On me, this one. and rest assured that spring will come... the desert will bloom... it only seems to be down and out when it is simply resting.
