Hi Jim,

I will comment later on your post. I got some idea about a possible trade this week.

An idea for a trade. An FDA decision of Amgen is going to take place at 24th of August 2016. Almost no volatility increase in the options has occurred. The stoke is trading around 175. Any ideas of buying one or multiple straddles struck at 170 and 180? Other strikes are not available. A possibility for a large than average move is reasonable to occur and the event has a binary outcome. The FDA makes a positive or negative decision.

To prevent over-trading I am looking for binary outcomes. But also the risk-reward should be sufficient to take the risk. Because I am a student with not a large account I prefer to make at least between 500 and 1k. In the past I traded for only a reward of a couple dollars but now that I am a little more experienced I do not think it make much sense any more.

I will try to find a decent source of the FDA decision and post it later.
