It should take my M2-166Mhz less than half second to load either Word97 or Excel97 once they are recently loaded. The whole screens would pop up before the sound of mouse clip gone.

I have to ask you how much faster is your PII-300Mhz than these? You might find better listeners in Intel thread. Most of us on this thread believe that it is stupid to spend good money on the overpriced Intel processors.
