O49'r--UH-OH #2 today-- Dakota Mining Corporation (''Dakota'') today has received the consent of a sufficient number of its Cdn. $25 million Convertible Debenture holders to defer payment of interest due December 31, 1997 to a time that is not later than December 31, 1999. The deferred interest shall accrue interest at the rate of 7.5 percent per annum until the deferred December 31, 1997 interest is paid. It's time to strap on your deflation waders, folks! And Yippeee, 1998 is here!!
