"He did bring PLAY DOH!!!!"

Yeah, but not his own.

When Donald Trump spent under a minute unenthusiastically unloading supplies from a truck in a Louisiana flood zone for a photo op, he was hoping Americans would assume he donated the supplies himself. Now that a number of observers have begun questioning whether the supplies even came from him or his Trump organization, his campaign began hinting as much. But now local authorities are disputing Trump’s claim that the truckload of supplies was even his.

In an attempt to get to the bottom of the matter, David Fahrenthold of the Washington Post reached out and asked the local Ascension Parish government whether Donald Trump had indeed donated the truckload of supplies in question. “We don’t have any info abt a donation truck that came from him directly,” was the spokesman’s diplomatic way of saying that Trump hadn’t donated any such thing. But it gets worse.

The Trump campaign is also telling Fox News that Donald Trump has made a $100,000 donation to the Louisiana Flood Relief Fund, as the state’s Governor John Bel Edwards had publicly asked him to. But when asked, the fund is declining to confirm that any such donation exists.

So unless Donald Trump and his campaign can produce some evidence that the truckload of supplies were donated by him and that the supposed donation to the fund really happened, the incident may end up playing even worse for him than believed. Instead of merely being a fiasco in which he spent under a minute handing out random useless toys to hungry and homeless victims for the sake of a poorly received photo op, it’s beginning to look like he was handing out someone else’s donated supplies.
