Gene, I don't just think it's the intelligence of his supporters that makes him popular. He kinda harks back to a time when a regular guy could get a good job and raise a family without having to work 3 jobs just to pay the bills. People in the rust belt states grew up looking at dad or grandpa and thinking they could follow the same path. The manufacturing sector has just disappeared in this country and I can't blame those people for thinking they kinda got ripped off.
