BB, I'll look at Kevin's charts and reply after. First this...
briefing.com mildly bullish on semi equipment makers:

briefing.com

The market did it again, finishing last year with a gain of at least 20%... The strong rally in the technology sector was partly responsible... However, the outlook for 1998 isn't as bright... Techs are expected to start the year with a whimper based on slowing earnings growth and lingering anxiety over the long-term impact of Asia's financial crisis... The sector's deteriorating technical tone also bodes poorly... So while we could see some early-Jan gains (due to favorable seasonals), Briefing expects earnings disappointments to spark renewed weakness by mid-month.

Briefing also expects the Internet stocks to suffer through a tough 1998 as more difficult trading conditions in general triggers a material contraction in multiples... The PC makers
should also struggle to keep pace with the market... On the flip side, chip equipment, disk-drive and networking stocks are well positioned for a moderate rebound by mid-1998.
