RE: Lenses and Quartz
Does anyone remember the name of the European optical quartz manufacurer? Do the stepper manufacturers actually make the lenses from the quartz blanks themselves, or do they buy the finished lenses from another vendor?

The European Quartz company may be Heraeus (sp?)

ASML buys its lenses from Zeiss in Germany.
Canon makes its own.
I'm not sure about Nikon.
