I am sorry I did not quite get around to answering your posts. I hope you have been reading the thread, and realized I was in over my head with domesticity and house guests at the moment.
In fact, my husband has been in a state of shock for two weeks. He is used to seeing me collapse on my bed with a new Newsweek and a take-out veggie burrito in the evening, or something else that requires even less effort, if that is possible. I can tell he is very impressed by elegant dinners with vegetables and salad and fresh flowers from the garden on the table, because he is sort of just standing around looking amazed.
What happened to your eyes, anyway?? Men in their fifties are not supposed to look really young, unless they have had plastic surgery. Are you really considering it? I had a girlfriend who had liposuction on her upper eyelids, and the rest of the area around her eyes tightened, and she was miserable afterwards. Her eyes no longer closed properly, so for several months she couldn't get to sleep. Liposuction REALLY hurts for a long time. She definitely would not have done it if she had known about all the stuff afterwards.
I'm really sorry, incidentally, after reading this thread lately, that you have so little support from your wife regarding religious/school issues. That must be very difficult for you.
