Happy New Year to all!!!
Regarding same store salesLadenburg Thalman's 12/11/97 update claims that since the end of the third quarter Woodfield is down about 7.5%, Gurnee is flat, Tyson's corner is off by 15%, MOA up in the single digits and the DW Unit "continues to exceed expectations" which suggests DW is going to impove on last quarters 22% increase in same store sales. I'd imagine those figures are as of the beginning of December so they may well have improved in the last month around the board. Woodfield Mall in particular seems to have done very well in December traffic-wise. My condolences to the Sparky Dog, Mel, and my most sincere wishes for a speedy recovery! Yes I was waylaided by an absessed tooth where the infection went acute when the root canal process began. For the last few weeks its made staring into a monitor a rather disagreeable task. Everythings under control now. I share your sentiments for a strong January.
John, that was a great article you dug up on the speed and decibel level of music in restaurants. If RAINs following the standard rule of thumb of "crank up the volume" during peak service periods then complaints about the noise level must be a sign of outstanding revenues.
Toby, I'll keep the advise about the passes in mind. If RAIN's shareprice continues heading south I may need to raise money in a hurry. :-)
Jupe, Grape, Moe, NPs and Ps one and all, once again, have a Happy and Prosperous New Year!! And remember whether your driving or bowling STAY IN YOUR OWN LANE.
