I'm very grateful for the intelligence and hard work of many of the people on this thread and want to say thank you so much with my wishes for a Happy New Year. I also feel really bad about Skipard leaving. Skipard, please reconsider! You're being so strict! We need you here.

My two cents on Mike Winn is that he's entirely sincere, but is speaking out of his limited exposure to the larger y2k picture, as evidenced, for example, by his unsophisticated statements about Yardeni's motives. The blind man who's got a grip on the elephant's tail really does, sincerely, think that an elephant is a lot like a snake. I've found his posts interesting, and his sanguine assessment of the problem is probably shared by plenty of others and may explain why, for now, we still have a chance to buy tpro at this level.
