I can confirm what j bennett spear is saying. I had attended last years G* stockholders meeting in Manhattan. B* Schwartz stated that the Business Partners want the public shares of G* to be actively traded and not tightly held, right after the shareholders meeting, a matter of days, the 1997 stock split was announced.

I believe if the stock price gets into the $60's the Bd of Dir. will declare a stock split and my guess would probalbly be right after the next shareholders' meeting. For what it's worth.
