Hey, don't knock the "count of recommendations" feature !!!

It was probably darned near the top of the "requested features" list.

You know what I'm talking about, right?

That's the list of features that is sorted by number of requests. Most frequently requested feature gets top priority for implementation.

The "count of recs" must have been WAY above the number of requests to fix performance issues.

Funny, I don't recall seeing any public posts requesting that feature. I do, however, recall a post or two about performance issues. Maybe even more than two.

However, I don't use SI as much as I used to (primarily because of performance issues), so perhaps I missed a thousand or so requests for the "count of recs".

And, yes, in case you're wondering ...
