Donald Trump’s favorability rating with African-Americans falls to ZERO percent By Daily News Bin | August 29, 2016 |
Donald Trump has spent the past two weeks making a consistent pitch to why African-Americans would be better off if he became President, and let’s just say that his pitch isn’t producing the desired effect. Various national polls have listed his support with black voters in the very low single digits. But now that Trump is finally making a belated outreach, the latest national polling says that his favorability rating with African-Americans has fallen to literally zero.
According to a new national poll from the respected Public Policy Polling, republican nominee Donald Trump now has a ninety-seven percent unfavorable rating with African-Americans. Three percent aren’t sure, and zero percent have a “favorable” view of Trump. This data was first broadcast by Rachel Maddow during her MSNBC show on Monday evening. Detailed data sampling isn’t yet available, but considering the likely small sample size typically involved in these things, this probably isn’t a mere round-off to zero. Instead it’s likely that not a single African-American respondent, not even one person, had a favorable view of Trump. But it somehow gets worse for him.
Just for fun, PPP threw in some other random things to see how Trump measured up against them. It turns out that black and hispanic voters have a significantly more favorable view of disgraced swimmer Ryan Lochte, bed bugs, junk mail, mosquitoes, and the bubonic plague than they do of Donald Trump. As for his zero percent favorability rating among African-American voters, it needs to be pointed out as always that this is just one poll among many. But there are no national polls showing significantly different results on this matter.
