Huma Abedin raved about what a good father Anthony Weiner is just days before his third sexting scandal broke and the two announced they were separating.

In a glowing profile in Vogue, Hillary Clinton’s top aide said she was thankful Weiner could be a “full-time dad” because she works so much.
“I go through phases where I’ll get up early, I’ll go to the gym, I’ll run, I’ll go on a hike,” Abedin said. “But then I go through phases where I’m just so overwhelmed.”

“It wasn’t so clear in my mind, after my son was born, that I would work with this kind of intensity. Many working moms feel this way — there is a lot of guilt. I don’t think I could do it if I didn’t have the support system I have, if Anthony wasn’t willing to be, essentially, a full-time dad.”
“I have in-laws who are really supportive. And I’m lucky enough to have a nanny, which I realize is completely a luxury — a lot of people aren’t able to do that. That allows me to travel and do my job.”

“I know Anthony has said this before, but Jordan was the best thing that happened to either of us,” she added. “Our primary concern was the well-being of our son, and ensuring he had everything he needed to feel loved and cared for and to thrive.”
Days later, the New York Post published a story revealing that Weiner was caught in yet another sexting scandal. In one raunchy photo published by the Post, Weiner sends a woman a sext while his four-year-old child is sleeping in the background.“
Someone just climbed into my bed,” Weiner allegedly wrote to the woman.

“Really?” she responded.
He then replied with the photo of him in white boxer briefs.
On Monday, Abedin announced she was leaving her husband after six years of marriage.
“After long and painful consideration and work on my marriage, I have made the decision to separate from my husband,” she wrote in a statement. “Anthony and I remain devoted to doing what is best for our son, who is the light of our life.”
“During this difficult time, I ask for respect for our privacy.”
