I believe it was the "bundling of mortgages" that really caused the crash.

Do you have a youtube video on how the Republicans tried to stop that or even discussed it?

Fannie and Freddie were essentially government institutions and I can understand why the Republicans didn't like that.

But, it was the bundling of good mortgages with bad that brought the whole thing down.

I don't know, did Fannie and Freddie BUNDLE mortgages and sell them as "sound" investments?

Did they?
