Whose side are you on?
I really like this meme, but I realize he (Trump) can't say it out loud. I've asked myself the same thing several times though................are you on America's side, or some other nebulous unnamed entity that needs defining? I'll usually ask that question after reading a vitriolic article by someone on the left or after listening to HC or some left wing nut job deride America, Trump, republicans, conservatives, their plans or supporters.
Their (liberals) patriotism only appears to go where their leaders allow, which seem to lie just outside the confines of our laws. (Laws they willfully ignore when convenient to their cause.) This generates confusion and turmoil and also a sense of helplessness on the part of many people. (see chaos in American cities.) Elected leaders push the boundaries, sometimes they break the law, often getting away with it, and the average, law abiding citizen sees it all and feels cheated and abused.
A vicious, law breaking/ignoring cycle was accelerated with the administration of Barack Obama, and it has shown that liberals are more than willing to go outside the confines of American law.
When Conservatives see corruption at the highest levels they don't give up on the basic concept of America. They like the laws that are written; they suit their temperament and belief system. They use those laws to right a wrong. They work within the confines of those laws and try to make them better.
Generally speaking, Liberals don't like them at all, so they are willing to dump the whole thing and remake (or fundamentally transform) America according to their own vision.
Just throwing that out there. |
