Well David, I'm not sure of the timing of the recommedation but I guess the guy was right at the time... RAIN was a pretty good short candidate as it did go down to the 17 level, at least temporarily following O'Dowd's leaving and mystery leave from the company. I may be off a few months, but you could have made some nice money by shorting it around 36 and riding it down to 17 or so. Of course there were some of us who bought in at those levels and have increased their profits considerably... I did not, dang it! Wish I had! As it is I still have avg price of about 28.5, but even at that when RAIN recently went to 38, it was still a healthy profit of over 30%, and right now I'm happy to see about 20% increase over my buy in price. I am certainly not worried as I can see we will be at a much higher level at this time next year. I just hope that we see a 20% to 30% compounded rate over the next few years. That, along with what I hope will be a continued good growth from my IOMEGA investment, should do quite nicely. There will be bumps along the way, but we should see spectacular cash flows from both Disney locations as well as the new Rainforest Cafes in Las Vegas, downtown Chicago, and Times Square. The malls will continue to be seasonal in their return on investment, but should continue to be solid overall. RAIN officers warn that they did not expect to see continuing % increases in the business done in many of these stores, as there is always a "honeymoon" period where the concept in new and different, but this then settles down to a good, but less than spectacular, earnings figures. We should see good overall figures for the 4th quarter...hopefully, especially with some earnings from the newly opened, Arizona Mills, Gravevine Mills, and other reasonbly new additions to the mix. Orlando shoud continue to do very well. So, I am still very optimistic for 1998 as it appears that new developments are on schedule and more stores will be coming on line as well... Good Luck to you... and may it RAIN on our PARADE! Mel
