In a similar vein, I read the other day (somewhere, stated much more eloquently) how the African and Middle East countries could not wait to end British empire rule and become self sufficient. Now they are waiting in line in filthy refugee camps in Calais to become part of that nation again, and the rest of Europe. The Brits gave them civilization. They couldn't hold on to it. NOPE...........NOBODY can make this crap up
