Hal, inferring from Maverick's new posts (NEWS ONLY) , and the fact that Ascend is already a supplier to, I would say NTT is probably where a major xDSL contract/deployment is coming from. I recall seeing that NTT is something like the 7th largest corporation in the world. This is better than a RBOC.

Although, ASND is currently supplying switching equip.to BellSouth, Bell Atlantic/NYNEX, & AT&T WorldNet. These are certainly logical targets for xDSL since they already have a strong presence. According to an earlier Maverick Post (#544 NEWS ONLY) PacBell purchased several thousand DSLTNT ports and DSLPipes. So, ASND is playing with some major telcos today.
