It's liberals who are nuts. On another subject ... Since you grew up in an Appalachian hillbilly culture like this guy and you're interested in religion, thought you'd find this interesting:
Yes, I did grow up among the Appalachians but we were far from being hillbillies.....hillbilly is a term generally applied to people who live in small rural farming hamlets, have very little education, and if religious at all are generally bible thumping Christians......were I lived it was primarily RC.....with a large mix of protestants and about 5-10% Jewish...God did not play a large part in our lives despite the many churches. We lived in small mining towns but not isolated hamlets. Our towns usually had 7-20,000 inhabitants, had lots of churches, bars, schools and stores.... the towns were tightly constructed with a preponderance of row homes with various European ethnicities dominating specific neighborhoods. Those towns don't meet the definition of hillbilly.
