In my earlier posting, I was comparing the price differential between the price of the minimally configured Compaq amd Dell machines as ordered over the Internet. As stated, there was a substantial price differential of at least $500. I was not comparing the Dell machine to any computer purchase at CompUSA. Many are buying the minimally configured machine for use on the Internet. Perhaps, this is why minimally configured machines may have been 40% of recent sales as reported in the Wall Street Jouurnal on Wednesday..
