Katrina was only a CAT 2 when it came ashore, but once again it was the sheer size of the storm that caused the massive destruction.

I think was graded as a CAT 3 when it hit.

No coincidence they built the French quarter on high ground. NO was a sitting duck. The levees were known to be a problem 60 years prior.
