Low end:
EXBT gets competition from DAT / and random access storage (MO,
Zip, Jaz etc)

In the High End:
The DLT drives are significantly faster than the 8 mm drives.
The new DLT7000 is 70% faster than mammoth. They are however bigger,
and more expensive.

I own an EXBT 8505 drive, I have been satisfied with it, but the
speed of DLT seems appealing, while the Pinnacle Micro 4Gb MO drive
seems like a good alternative as well if I were to purchase a
backup medium today.
