Painful to watch...

From a humanity perspective, I agree, Solon, and many others have expressed sympathy for her suffering and find her pitiable.

From the perspective of citizens electing a president, do people really want a person who is the subject of their sympathy and pity to lead them? Not surprisingly, I think many do. I strongly believe that feelings of sympathy and pity are largely what led to Obama's election.
