Josh, What I found out about owning a smart phone verses a standard cell phone is this: Having a smart phone in my pocket is more like having a computer in my pocket. The functionality of a smart phone is something that you have to experience before you realize how many things that it will do to make your life easier. I have a weather app so it alerts me if there is bad weather on the way. I can check the stock market and even make trades from my phone. I can access my checking/savings accounts as well as move money from one account to the other, make remote check deposits and see my balance. I can setup automatic bill payments and manage them from my phone. I can access my email as well as create and send email. My iPhone comes with Google Maps so it acts like a talking Garmin when I am traveling. I can quickly locate the nearest gas station or restaurant with my phone while traveling. I can take high quality photos and videos with my phone, upload them to Google Drive for free long term storage so I can free up my phone’s memory. I can access my American Express account, setup various alerts like when the card has been used and it was not present during the transaction. I see this as a fraud prevention alert. I can make voice memos and even send voice text messages. I can send and receive files like photos or any other format files to others. I can talk to my son who is in the navy and stationed in VA using Facetime. It is a true free video phone call. I can stream free music from my phone through the sound system in my vehicle via Bluetooth. I can make a hands free phone call by using voice commands only. The phone is a calculator, compass and altimeter and many other things that you may want it to be. I can make Google searches by voice using Siri. I can access and view my home security cameras as well as receive alerts when something moves within range of one of the cameras. I can make a shopping list on the phone and strike off items as I purchase them by using one finger. If I ever take my laptop or iPad with me and need an internet connection I can connect to the internet through my iPhone’s Hot Spot. The Hot Spot will allow up to four simultaneous connected devices and it is nearly as fast as my home broadband. I have never paid for an app because there is always a free app available through the app store if you want one. Above I have named about 1/1000th of the things that the phone will do but trust me when I tell you that you will wonder why you waited so long to buy one when you finally do. Have a great day! Reid
