I've said many times the oceans dictate global temperatures, and changes in CO2 have very, very little to the global temperatures we truly observe. I say truly, because I refer to satellites and not infected/purported data from NOAA/NCDC. Don't get me wrong, the globe is much warmer than 1950's, of course.
One thing to note is that 2007 had 4.15 million km-sq. That's no significant loss over the past 9 years, and NOAA/NCDC tell us it's been the "hottest" decade ever with the Arctic apparently warming the fastest than anywhere else on Earth, and I'm not even bringing up the Antarctic.
