I think you should know that the USA is about 4 years behind the Chinese for Pebble Bed. The chinese have already baselined their design and are already building their Pebbles. US is still working on a baselined design. The DOE contract is to provide X energy with sufficient funds to scale a working Pebble so that they end up with one design for all sizes. But scaled appropriately.
