"This company is worth more than $1.28 for sure."

The company will only be worth that when it is liquidated and IF the Assets on its Balance Sheet can realize $1.28c per share. How sure can one be that the calculation of Book Value is a definite number when it is based, largely, on what anyone believes are the actual or realistic and realisable value of its Assets.

I would say that what is far more relevant is how much of that company's top line gets down to its bottom line and thereby arrives into its Balance Sheet, after any dividend payment.

Apart from selling available shares to the public, that is really the only way to positively influence a company's Balance Sheet.
