Craig,

You still don't get it right.

Go to Fry's and get a MX6x86-PR166 (60*2.5) for $85. Run it on your M534 or a $60 TXPro motherboard @83Mhz bus speed. Comparing its speed to PII-300 and tell us again the benchmark differences?

Don't you think that it is unfair to compare 6x86-150Mhz to PII-300Mhz?

I have been quite convinced by Mark Lipscomb during my last call with him. Mark told me that I might find that there will be no need to overclock MXi when I get it. I have been using M2-166Mhz on Asus T2P4 on 83Mhz bus speed for almost 3 months and found myself lacking the interest to overclock it (to 187 or 208Mhz) at all. Why? because all the computing jobs I do are done instantly. The waits and bottlenecks comes from hard drive and the narrow bandwidth from modem.

Comparing my M2-166Mhz to my daughter's 6x86L-166Mhz, I could sense the speed difference too!

You could waste your good money on the overpriced PII. It just doesn't make good sense to me. :)
